Overview
This spring break, travel to the edge of the world—and the heart of ministry. For the third year, MVNU is partnering with Compass Path and the Salvation Army in Keflavík to serve local families, walk alongside immigrants and refugees, and join in the radical hospitality of Christ.
Each day will be rooted in service and reflection. Whether you're helping in the clothing store, preparing food for families, or sitting with someone who’s been through more than most of us can imagine, you’ll be part of something that is small and quiet—and deeply sacred.
Expect to stretch your faith, deepen your calling, and come back with a greater sense of how God might use your life for the good of others.
What You’ll Do
✔️ Assist with clothing, food, and compassion ministries run by the Salvation Army
✔️ Serve families experiencing poverty, displacement, and hardship
✔️ Learn about Iceland’s social systems, refugee support, and faith-based outreach
✔️ Participate in daily debriefs, mentorship, and spiritual reflection
✔️ Discern how your gifts and calling can serve the needs of the world

This trip is open to MVNU students who want to serve with intention and grow in faith. Here’s how to get started:
Complete the Compass application (link below).
Interview with MVNU and Compass staff.
Submit your deposit to reserve your spot.
Begin fundraising and get ready to meet the team. Before we leave, we’ll have some team meetings to connect and prepare. The dates for these required meetings are coming soon!
