Who am I?
Where do I belong?
What is my purpose?
These are all essential life questions. A trip with Compass helps you answer them.
Compass specializes in international trips that integrate service and learning. A single week can empower your purpose through a supportive community, heightened self-awareness, and confidence that will help you navigate life in this complex world.
Compass trips empower and transform through three key elements:
Formative Experiences
By stepping outside of your comfort zone and into a different culture, you open your mind to new ideas and deeper self-awareness. On a Compass trip, you'll travel to locations throughout Iceland where we partner with the Salvation Army, working primarily with marginalized and refugee communities.
Deep Relationships
No one can navigate life alone. Relationships are what empower us to become the best versions of ourselves. During a trip, you'll participate in a technology sabbath, spend time in small group discussions, and participate in the shopping and preparation of a daily group meal.
Active Reflection
Our journies are compromised of past and present, but it can be hard to process, reflect and learn with the craziness of daily life. In Iceland, you'll spend time daily in personal and group reflection, processing not only the amazing experience on Compass but also the impact it has on your story, past and future.
Compass is a beneficiary of a generous 3-year grant from Cummings Foundation to fund our Purpose Expedition program. Through its annual Cummings $30 Million Grant Program, the Cummings Foundation supports non-profits situated in select regions of eastern Massachusetts. With a commitment to community welfare and empowerment, the program allocates 150 grants each year to a wide array of deserving organizations.
