Navigating life is difficult for any young adult, but youth who've experienced foster care face unique challenges. The immense challenges they face lead to staggering rates of homelessness, substance abuse, other high-risk behaviors, and incarceration.
We’re asking for businesses and organizations to help reverse this trend by supporting young adults as they embark on our Purpose Expedition.
What is a Purpose Expedition?
Our Purpose Expedition is a transformative six-month journey of leadership, mentoring, and service that culminates in a service-learning trip to Iceland. This program involves intentional community, deep reflection, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore and serve in the land of fire and ice! And it’s strategically offered to youth who are aging out of the foster care system.
The Purpose Expedition consists of three components:
A three-day opening event for the group from Monday, November 18th to Wednesday, November 20th.
Six-months of guidance with an assigned mentor. Meetings every two weeks, can be online but in-person is preferred.
A trip to Iceland for volunteering, tentatively scheduled for May 3rd-10th, 2025.

What is the Purpose Expedition Program?
The Purpose Expedition Program is a six month, transformative initiative designed to support young adults who have experienced foster care. The program combines mentorship, skill-building workshops, and a service-learning trip to Iceland, all aimed at fostering purpose, resilience, and a sense of belonging in participants, all of which equip them to navigate the challenges of entering adulthood from the foster care system.
What types of sponsorship opportunities are available?
We offer various sponsorship levels, ranging in financial levels. Sponsorship isn’t solely for the purpose of funding it also serves to show these youth that there’s a community of people supporting their journey. Custom sponsorship packages can also be tailored to align with your company’s goals and values.
Who does the Purpose Expedition Program serve?
The program serves youth and young adults aged 18-25 who have aged out of the foster care system. Participants come from diverse backgrounds and often face unique challenges, including complex trauma and limited access to life-changing opportunities.
How does the Purpose Expedition Program align with corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals?
